The Cruise Boutiquecouple

The Barge Lady now brings you the World!

Come watch the world go by
from the deck of your floating
hideaway on the French canals!

Float from village to village . . . past fishermen . . . wildlife . . . green fields with mountains in the distance . . . wave to families out for a walk on the towpath! This is the serene, beautiful and largely unknown France you can experience only from the deck of a canal barge! FONT>

Bicycling: Spend the morning bicycling the towpaths which line your canal, or bike into town and have a cafe in the town square. There's also walking . . . ballooning . . . touring. So, you can be as active as you wish to be. On the other hand, you're in France! You might also choose to relax on deck, soak in the hot tub, sip champagne and watch the scenery slip slowly by.

Feasting: It's freshly baked croissants from the village bakery for breakfast. . . a sumptuous lunch buffet served on deck . . . a formal (but informal dress, please) four course dinner. As the Barge Lady says, it is definitely "Diet Before Departure!" Then there's the 21 cheeses you'll sample and compare and the wines at lunch and dinner. Quiche, paté, fruit tortes, chocolate mousse and All Things French will make your barge cruise a gastronomic delight!

Sightseeing and Shopping: Your guide will personally introduce you to Chateaux, local markets, vineyards, walled towns, and Basilicas. Shop for local crafts, wine, art, cuisine (think mustard, honey and more) and that odd souvenir that takes your fancy. On a barge cruise, you'll experience the off-the-beaten-path in France, but guided and cosseted every step of the way!

A French barge cruise runs for six nights / seven days and include all of your gourmet meals, wine, open bar, chauffeured-guided sightseeing and TLC from English-speaking crew. Cruising areas include Burgundy, Alsace, Provence, Southwest, and Ile de France. There is a barge cruise to suit your price range, your group size, your taste level, and your interests.

2009 barges are booking fast. Don't wait for the paper brochure to be printed. **************************
